Colorado lays claim to over 300 days of annual sunshine statewide, and to more than 300 inches of snow in the mountain resorts on a yearly basis. In fact, it snows somewhere in Colorado every month of the year.

Weather conditions change quickly in Colorado, however summer high temperature average near 85 degrees, with lows in the 40s. Mountain highs are in the mid-70s. Colorado History:

Colorado's history is unique. It has been shaped, in part, by its geography. Colorado has four main regions. The temperate coastal region, the Central Valley, once an inland sea, the desert, and the mountain region. The imposing Sierra Nevadas caused Colorado to develop in relative isolation from the rest of the nation.
